Pre-Construction Meetings

At Bob Cook Homes, you are not limited to a handful of predetermined blueprints. Instead, our process starts by discussing your must-haves and wish list along with your budget and location so we can share our expertise to create a truly custom home for your needs. We specialize in helping you get the most of what is important to you in a plan and maximizing your square footage for a quality, functional home. Looking to add extra space for when you're ready to add to your family? We can make sure your home is tailored to that desire. Let us help you bring your dream home to the real world.

Prior to starting construction, you will meet with Bob and your superintendent, Ben Cook. They will explain the building process, review the blueprints of your home with you, confirm the options or upgrades that you have chosen, and answer any questions you may have. All preferences, selections, and updates will be available to the customer, vendors, and the Bob Cook Homes office in real time via Buildertrend software apps.

Selection Choices

You are given selection sheets so you can go out and meet with the vendors and make your own choices. There are no restrictions on what you can choose for your cabinets, countertops, fixtures, and flooring, or other options and upgrades that speak to your unique sense of style.

A Walkthrough for Framing, Trim, and the New Home

Framing orientation is where there is a chance to make custom choices for the location of your light switches, light fixtures, outlets, freezers, tools, exercise equipment, etc. This meeting gives the customer an opportunity to change where the sink will be, add reinforcement for handrails, heavy mirrors, or TVs, for example.

Trim Orientation

Again, you will meet with your superintendent on the job to ensure the placement of cabinets, closet shelves, and any changes to the trim selections you have already completed. We want you to know that this meeting is just as important as your initial consultation. If you have hesitations or want changes, don't hesitate to speak up.

New Home Orientation

This is the final meeting before you move into your new Bob Cook Home. At this meeting, you will learn about the systems of your new home, review your new home warranty, and ask any final questions. Once we're done with this meeting, you'll be able to start fully enjoying your new energy-efficient home in no time.
